About Us

Bó Sires was established in 2023 by Martin Flanagan and Neil Lahart to provide sires to the Irish market that will produce functional cattle with a will to milk.

Bulls selected with a focus on longevity, from established, proven cow families. Over 75% of our bulls are daughter-proven. We’re working with well-established industry partners to source our genetics from companies that share our values, namely; KI Kampen, Veecom, Coopex, and Viking Genetics.

KI Kampen is a Dutch AI company established over 40 years ago by farmers. They source bulls that breed durable cows with high lifetime production. Veecom was founded by five farmers in the late 80’s, and market sires that breed for sustainability. Their breeding program is founded on aAa principles.

Coopex is a federation formed by ten French farmer owner and controlled cooperatives. They are the world leader in Montbeliarde genetics.

Viking Genetics provide semen from the Nordic countries.
